I’m a lake among the mountains,
Cool and deep, and crystal clear.
There’s no monsters dwell inside me –
You can drink without fear.
If you look into my water,
You won’t find reflection there –
At the bottom little fishes
To and fro without care.
Stay awhile and rest a little –
I don’t mind your presence here.
I may even never notice
Your existence somewhere near.
******
“Nowhere…” No matter how hard
And long you try to search,
In closed room or open space,
With or without torch.
“Now, where?..” You ask yourself confused
And hope the answer find,
While crowd of myriad ideas
Cross your bewildered mind.
“Now, here…” is one of them in row
That passes in а blink,
And if you fast enough to catch,
There’s more than you can think.
***
You are a little lizard
That’s sliding through the grass.
I’m never able to catch up
When you in hurry pass.
You are so deadly cautious
And always stay alert,
So I am guessing how much
You’re scared of being hurt.
You want to leave? Then do so -
I’ll keep on sitting calm.
But in a case you change your mind -
I’ll just stretch out my palm.
